Application

1.Used in the dye industry to produce sulphide dyes, is the raw material of sulphide blue and sulphide blue.  Used in the printing and dyeing industry as a dye aid for dissolving vulcanized dyes.  In leather industry, it is used to hydrolyze the raw skin and to prepare sodium polysulfide to accelerate the soaking of dry skin.  Used in the paper industry as a cooking agent for paper.  It is used in the textile industry for the reduction of denitrification and nitrification of artificial fibers and as a mordant for dyeing cotton fabrics.  The pharmaceutical industry makes antipyretics such as phenac etin. 
In addition, it is also used for the production of sodium thiosulfate, sodium thihydride, sodium polysulfide and so on.  
2.Adding proper amount of sodium sulfide to the alkaline etching solution of aluminum and alloy can obviously improve the surface quality of etching, and can also be used to remove alkaline soluble heavy metal impurities such as zinc in the alkaline etching solution.  

3.Sodium sulfide can also be used for the treatment of conductive layer in direct electroplating. Colloidal palladium sulfide can be formed by the reaction of sodium sulfide and palladium to form a good conductive layer on the non-metallic surface.

4.Used for manufacturing sulfide dye, leather depilation agent, metal smelting, photography, rayon denitrification and so on.  

5.Used as a corrosion inhibitor.  It is also the raw material of sodium thiosulfate, sodium polysulfide, sulfide dyes and so on.
