Description: thalloid crystal. Melting point 32ºC. Boiling point 135 ~ 136ºC(0.798kPa). Refractive index 1.6370. Density 1.180g/cm3. Flash point >110ºC. Soluble in ether, benzene. The chlorin e atom can be replaced by an amino group and can form an ester with potassium acetate. 1-naphthalen e formaldehyde is obtained by acting with hexamethylenetetramin e (hexamethylenetetramin e) in acetic acid. Can be reduced by Zn/HCl or Al-Hg. It is a tear-inducing stimulant.
Application: intermediate of pesticide, medicine and auxiliaries.
