Product Description
Nepheline, also called nephelite, or eleolite, the most common feldspathoid mineral, an aluminosilicate of sodium and potassium [(Na,K)AlSiO4]. It is sometimes used as a substitute for feldspars in the manufacture of glass and and ceramics.
Applications
Ceramic Grade Nepheline
1. Thickening effect
Because nepheline itself has crystalline quality, it can increase the viscosity and rheology of ceramic glaze, make the glaze more easily coated on the ceramic surface, and improve the adhesion of the glaze layer.
2. Anti-precipitation effect
Nepheline can effectively prevent the precipitation of solid particles in the ceramic glaze, maintain the uniformity and stability of the glaze, thus improving the quality of the glaze and the surface gloss of the ceramic products.
3. Whitening effect
Nepheline has a white or off-white color, which can effectively improve the whiteness and light transmission of ceramic products, making ceramic products look more beautiful.
4. Adjust glaze rheology
