Acr ylic acid, is a kind of organic compounds, chemical formula C3H4O2, colorless liquid, pungent smell, miscible with water, can be miscible in ethanol, ether. Active chemical properties, easy polymerization in the air, hydrogenation can be reduced to propi onic acid, and hydrogen chloride addition to generate 2-chlor opro pionic acid, mainly used for the preparation of acrylic resin.
Application
1)The hydrogens at the α and β positions of this product are easily substituted, and the carboxyl group can generate esters,amides, acid chlorides, acid anhydrides, etc.

2)Its double bond has the same properties as double bonds, is chemically active, and can be homopolymerized and copolymerized. The polymer has a wide range of uses and is an important chemical raw material.

3)This product and its esters can be used as polymer monomers.

4)Can be used as raw materials for adhesives, coatings, resins, etc.; resins synthesized from this product can be used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, leather, textiles, paper, chemical fiber, rubber, building materials, plastics, packaging materials, water treatment, and oil extraction
