Caprolactam is the abbreviation of ε-caprolactam, the molecular formula is C6H11NO, the appearance of white powder or crystal, has an oily feel. Caprolactam is one of the important organic chemical raw materials, and its main use is to generate polyamide slices by polymerization (usually called nylon-6 slices, or nylon -6 slices), which can be further processed into nylon fibers, engineering plastics, and plastic films. Nylon-6 slicing has different application areas with different quality and indexes.

Application

1. Most of caprolactam is used to produce polycaprolactam. About 90% of the latter is used to produce synthetic fiber, that is, kapuron, and 10% is used as plastic, which is used to manufacture gears, bearings, pipes, medical devices, electrical and insulating materials. It is also used in coatings, plastic agents and a small amount of synthetic lysine.
2. It is mainly used for preparing caprolactam resin, fiber and artificial leather, and also used as medical raw materials.
