Cyclohexan e, also known as hexahydrobenzen e, is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor. Insoluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents. It burns very well. Generally used as a general solvent, chromatographic analysis standard material and for organic synthesis, can be used in resin, paint, fat, paraffin oil applications, can also prepare cyclohexanol and cyclohexanon e and other organic compounds.
