   Dichloroethane is an organic compound with a chemical formula of C2H4Cl2 and a molecular weight of 98.97. It is a type of halogenated hydrocarbon. There are two isomers of dichloroethane, which are 1,1-dichlo roethane and 1,2-dichlo roethane. If there is no special specification, it generally refers to 1,2-dichlo roethane. The appearance of dichloroethane is a colorless or light yellow transparent liquid, which is insoluble in water. It is a colorless liquid with a chloroform-like odor at room temperature.
