Propylen e glycol ether is less toxic to the human body than ethylene glycol ether products. Propylen e glycol methyl  ether has a weak ether taste, but no strong pungent odor, making it more widely used and safe. Because it has both ether and hydroxyl groups in its molecular structure, it has excellent solubility, suitable volatilization rate and reaction activity, and has been widely used.
